Ideate and craft a header video to be used at Berghs School of Communication's website.

BACKGROUND:

Berghs was founded in 1941 by Gösta and Irma Bergh. At the time, the school was called the School of Advertising Techniques (Reklamtekniska skolan) and focused on subjects such as decoration, illustration, and advertising drawing. Early on, the school began certifying both advertising and marketing consultants to meet the needs of both agencies and companies. In the 1970s, Berghs introduced day and evening classes, followed by distance learning in the 1980s and customized training programs in the early 1990s. Since July 1, 2000, the school has been known as Berghs School of Communication and has built a strong international reputation over the years. Berghs is recognized for maintaining high quality and continuously developing relevant new courses that future-proof professional skills.

THE CHALLENGE:

The header video of Berghs website is there to give a warm and expressive welcome and introduction to the school and its values. I got the honourable task to create it! I was inspired by the fast pace of the school and wanted to communicate it while aligning with the blocky visual identity. The brief said "build on the concept: Berghs School of..."

I attended the school between 2023-2025, I know what the school is about and how I want to present it to people.

  • Three different aspect ratio videos.
NOTES:
  • I was inspired by the blocky "!" logotype symbol and took it from there.
  • It was an honour to get this task!
  • I wanted it to be rapid and fast, as life is like at Berghs.
  • The music and sounds was an important part of the piece
